Privacy

What we know about you. And what we do with it.

This is the privacy policy for the Lifeline Collars website. It is written in plain English from the Perth workshop, not copy-pasted from a legal template. Every form on the site — the reservation waitlist, the contact form, the wholesale enquiry on /stockists, and the reservation pipeline once it opens — is named below, with the fields we ask for, the reason we ask for them, and who, if anyone, sees them besides us.

The short version

  • We collect only what the form asks for. Nothing extra, nothing in the background.
  • We reply, then we drop your message from the inbox.
  • You can ask us to remove your record at any time.

Five short sections. About two minutes. If a line is unclear, write to us — the address is at the bottom of the page.

Information we collect

Five surfaces on the site. Each one named below.

Every form on the Lifeline Collars website, with the information it asks for in plain language. Where a pipeline is not open yet — like reservations for the collar — we describe the shape of what it will ask for, so the policy is honest about the future surface, not silent about it.

  1. Surface 01 of 05

    The reservation waitlist

    What we ask for

    • Your email address.
    • An optional dog name — so the launch list reads as a roster, not a spreadsheet.
    • An optional suburb — so the first batch ships to the seniors closest to the Perth workshop.
  2. Surface 02 of 05

    The contact form

    What we ask for

    • Your name.
    • Your email address.
    • Your message.
    • A short tag — press enquiry, stockist enquiry, customer support, or partnership — so the reply lands in the right inbox without you having to explain twice.
  3. Surface 03 of 05

The wholesale enquiry block on /stockists

    What we ask for

    • Your name, your role (pet shop, vet clinic, GP practice, or aged-care provider), the business or practice name, and the suburb and postcode.
    • The sales channel you want — in store, online, or both — and a rough expected monthly order volume.
    • Any notes you want to add, optional, free-text.
    • All of the above is sent through the same contact form, tagged as a stockist enquiry, so it lands in one inbox.
  4. Surface 04 of 05

The reservation pipeline (when it opens)

    What we ask for

    • Your name and contact details — the same as the contact form, so we know where to send the collar.
    • A shipping address — the suburb and post code at minimum.
    • A payment for the deposit — taken through a payment processor, only at the moment you commit.
    • A small set of order details — dog name, strap size, optional engraving — so the collar that arrives is the one you ordered.
  5. Surface 05 of 05

    The site analytics

    What we ask for

    • A single one-pixel request per page load — the kind that tells us which article was read end-to-end, not who read it.
    • A random visitor id stored in your browser's local storage under a name we publish — no cookies, no fingerprinting, no advertising trackers, no third-party cross-site profiles.
    • Nothing else. No IP address, no referrer header, no device fingerprint, no email. The pixel carries a count, not a person.

How we use it

The same fields, the other half of the question.

For each surface, one line on purpose. We did not split the list from the section above into a separate grid because the two questions — what we ask for, and what we do with it — are the same row read twice. The text below names the use, side by side with what was collected, so you do not have to scroll back.

  1. The reservation waitlist

We email you once when reservations open. Not a drip, not a nurture sequence — one message, then you hear from us only when there is something to say.

  2. The contact form

We reply to your message. Once it is answered, it is dropped from the inbox. The four tag types map to four folders; nothing is kept longer than the conversation needs it.

  3. The wholesale enquiry block on /stockists

We send the wholesale or referrals pack that fits your role — shelf pricing for shops, a clinic referral pack for vets, and a tailored pack when you are prescribing through a GP or aged-care program. Same two-working-day reply as the contact form above.

  4. The reservation pipeline (when it opens)

To fulfil the reservation: print the collar to your spec, ship it to your address, and reply to anything that comes up. We will not use the address for marketing. The deposit is the only payment we keep on file; nothing further is taken without you confirming a new step at the time.

  5. The site analytics

To know which pages are being read and which are not. We look at it in aggregate — one visitor reading six pages counts as one visitor, not six. We use it to write more of what people actually finish, and less of what they do not.

Beyond what is listed above

We do not use anything you send us for marketing. We do not enrich, profile, or append your record from third-party data sources. We do not run advertising retargeting against our visitors. The only growth work we do is the one email we send when reservations open — and only to the people who asked for it.

Who we share with

Three places. No others.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone. There are three categories of third party that necessarily touch the data when you use a part of the site — and they are named below by what they do, not by who they are. Partner names are kept off the page while contracts are still being negotiated.

  • The 24/7 Australian monitoring desk

When a collar is reserved, the senior's emergency contact chain and the activation details are passed to the monitoring desk that answers the SOS. They see only what they need to make the call, and only for the collars they are monitoring.

  • The payment processor

When a reservation is paid, the payment processor receives the deposit through their own checkout. They see the payment, not the rest of your record. Refunds and disputes follow their own handling — your card statement is yours.

  • The email proxy that delivers our replies

Every email we send — the waitlist confirmation, the contact-form reply, the wholesale pack, the receipt — is delivered through the same platform provider that hosts this website. They carry the message; they do not read it.

Beyond those three categories, your information does not leave the workshop. Government or law-enforcement requests follow Australian law; if we receive a request that we believe is over-broad, we tell you about it (where the law lets us) before we answer.

Your choices

You can ask for any of this, any time.

We treat every record as something you have temporarily lent us. If you want it back, corrected, or removed, write to us at the address at the bottom of the page. The three usual requests — and what we do about them — are named below so you know what to expect before you send the email.

  • Correct a record

Tell us what is wrong and what it should say. We update the entry and reply once it is done — usually inside two working days.

  • Remove a waitlist entry

Send the email address you signed up with and we take the row out before the next launch announcement. We will not email you again from that list.

  • Erase a contact conversation

Tell us the rough date and the subject line and we find the thread, archive it, and confirm in writing. There is no question too small to ask to be removed.

For any request, we need one piece of information that lets us identify your record — the email address you signed up with, the date and subject of the message, or the order number on the reservation. Without that, the safest reply is no reply, so we ask for it.

How to contact us

The best way to reach the workshop about anything on this page.

Deb reads every email that lands in the workshop inbox. The reply comes from the Perth workshop, usually inside two working days. If your message is a privacy request, please include the email or order reference that lets us find the record — otherwise we will write back asking for it, which slows everyone down.

This page is written by the workshop and reviewed each time a new surface goes live. The most recent update is the date this paragraph was last touched — if anything on the site has changed since then, this page will say so.
